What We Do
Your Care, Your Way, the Safe Way
What We Do?
Every day, we provide around the clock care to a 71-year-old lady that except for some short-term memory loss is well. We live with her, take her to church, doctors’ appointments, the grocery store, hairdresser appointments every week, and the country club if she want.
Twice a day, we go into the home of a partially paralyzed ex-marine officer and prepare meals, help him with range of motion exercises, help with medication reminders, cleaning up, appointment reminders, grocery shopping, and three times a week we provide transportation to the adult day care where he hangs out for a few hours playing cards and board games with friends, and then we take him home.
In the winter months our caregivers fly to the west coast to care for a retired doctor, providing all the care his family would provide. We assist him with bathing, grooming, brushing his teeth, shaving, getting dressed, cleaning up, newspaper pick up, grocery shopping, preparing meals, laundry, medication reminders, washing his car once a week, playing golf, and attending different community meetings.
Every night, we assist a family in need of help with their 89 year old mother with dementia by making sure she is safe due to her frequently getting up in the middle of the night wandering, which makes it difficult for her daughter and son-in-law to get a good nights rest in preparation for work.
Once a week for 2 hours, a retired engineer that just lost his wife wants a caregiver to just sit in the backyard with him near the garden his wife created and maintained since they purchased the home 39 years ago. From time to time, we sit with him at the bingo hall, where he and his wife went weekly.
Why Assisted Living At Home?
This service has gained the most popularity of all the options available, due to older adults wanting to remain in their homes.
Care is delivered and available 24/7. It is a great alternative for the older adult needing around the clock personal care, companionship, supervision, or respite care while remaining in their home. Care recipients generally use our care program one to two months following post hospital or rehab services.
Not only do we support and encourage independence, but we promote enhancement of quality of life and wellness through improved sleep, nutrition, socialization, activities of daily living, and companionship.
Our Registered Nurses design individualized care plans unique to our care recipients, to include their families, and service is provided by our certified home health aides, certified care assistants, and personal care aides. The level of care influences the design of the program and services provided.
